Finally! New real final schedule!

Hello!
Thank you everyone for being so patient! I think we have it this time, the actual production schedule for Shut Up! After hammering some stuff out, keeping our word and staying somewhat flexible, and replacing an entire script, we finally have something for you to count on (knock on wood). There are updates on times and what shows are rehearsing when, but the biggest change is pushing back performances a week. We are officially performing the 26th and 27th of May (with a cast party that Saturday night, place TBA, and no strike afterwards!) and having a full tech week leading up.

Link to the calendar HERE

Some things on the new calendar that are worth noting:

We have an all call meeting on Monday, May 1st to talk about some quick things and to see you all at once before getting down to some crazy rehearsing.

The week of the 15th, this is going to be the time for everyone to see the shows your fellow cast members have been working on. All that week feel free to come and sit in on rehearsal and see all our shows! This will be the only time to see them because once we get in to tech and runs we'll have actors stay backstage/in the lounge/in the hall. Take advantage of this time please! It was important to us that we give you all the chance to see what you're a part of.

WWE Smackdown was the introductory show for Shut Up! last year, and we want to have a similar thing this year, it's still in the works and you all will be getting more updates about that as the plans get made.

TODAY WAS YOUR OFF BOOK DATE!!! So far we've been hearing good things, but its been one day... we expect everyone to be off book for ALL THEIR SHOWS. Calling line is acceptable, but try to keep it to a minimum and don't let that be an excuse to not know your lines.

On one of our free Saturdays, we will have a non-mandatory "Let's Hang Out, Make Our Show Shirts, Eat Some Food Maybe" day in which we will, hang out, tie-dye our show shirts, and eat some food maybe. Not sure the exact date yet, but we will let you know when that is happening. Come prepared with a nickname of your choice that may or may not end up on your shirt...

We're getting closer and closer everyday! I'm so happy and so proud of the work that was gone into this already and I cannot wait to see what comes next. You guys are so great and we super appreciate everyone and everything you're all doing for this project.

Thank you soooooooo much!

Schedule adjustments

Hello again! Our show has been officially pushed back a week! Our hope is to perform on the 25, 26, and 27th of May (Thursday Friday Saturday) with the week leading up as tech week.  It may end up that we'll just perform the 26th and 27th (Friday Saturday) with again that week leading up as tech.  We'll keep you updated but please have this week and weekend clear for the show! (Also tell all your friends and family that these are the days that we're performing !!!!!!!) we're so so sorry that our schedule is so messed up but we're working hard on making it easy for you guys! Love you all so much you're all so great :) I'm very very proud !!!
-Sofi

Reminder!

Hello everyone! Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Thursday 4/20) we do not have rehearsal! No one is called but we expect that you'll use this time to GET THE HECK OFF BOOK! Our hard off book date for ALL THE SHOWS is MONDAY APRIL 24. Please please make this a priority and be off book. We had mentioned this before but if you aren't putting in the work outside of rehearsal then we don't have a show. It's up to you. We trust and know that everyone is capable of doing this but again it makes us feeling better saying it. Everyone is doing so great so far and I'm so excited to see where this show ends up! It's gonna be incredible :)

Schedule for 4/10

Sorry for the late post! We're all been at state the last few days and have had a crazy weekend.

The schedule for 4/10 will be as follows:

3:30-4:30:

Projecting

4:35-5:30:

It's in Progress

5:35- 6:30

Toilet Paper

Due to the hellish ness of Harvey calls during the next month and a half, we are strongly considering holding rehearsal most everyday. You will not all be called everyday until tech, but we want to make sure that we are ready to perform by the time performances come. For that reason, we are asking everyone to hand us a copy of your schedule until performances tomorrow so we can hammer out a full production schedule as soon as possible. If you're not going to be at school tomorrow or have conflicts you aren't able to confirm until later this week please test one of us, but otherwise, please give us a new and improved conflict sheet tomorrow. If you have no conflicts, hand us a sheet that says your name and "no conflicts."

Thank you so so much for putting up with out frazzledness the last two weeks, and we're excited to see you guys again starting tomorrow!

Schedule Revision: 4/5

Due to some conflicts with the crew meeting etc., the new schedule for Wednesday will be as follows:

Projecting:

4:00-5:00

Ow.:

5:05-6:00

Sorry about the miscommunication this week- everything is falling into place and we should be coming up with a more lengthy schedule soon!

Schedule for Week of 4/3

The schedule for the week of April 3rd will be as follows:

Monday

Wednesday

3:30-4:30:

4:35-5:15:

Whether or not you're called much this week, please be reading over your scripts and starting to memorize! Crunch time is going to come sooner than we think, especially with the amount of time we will be losing to tech for Harvey. We are looking at calling people until 6:30 starting the week of April 10th, but if that conflicts with your schedule, please talk to one of us so we can schedule your call at the beginning of rehearsal.

Have a fantastic rest of your break, and we will see everyone on Monday!

Yay Blog!

Welcome to the blog! This is going to be a main form of communication for us (Sofi, Quinland and Girsch) to reach you, the cast, eventually crew, and even writers of Shut Up! We'll be posting who's cast in each show and the schedule for the week here to please check it EVERY DAY to make sure you're staying updated with what is going on. It's important that you are keeping up your end by checking in here for updates and other various things concerning the show.

With that out of the way, I wanted to say a huge thank you to every one for a great first couple rehearsals! I know that colabs aren't peoples favorite thing to do but we won't be doing another for a long time (or at all!) The reads we did were awesome and got me even more excited about this than I already was, and I was hyped. All us directors are working on casting some of the shows that we've read and are still looking for more. Hopefully from now on, rehearsals will be blocking and acting stuff with actual scripts that people will be officially cast in! Slowly but surely we're going to post who's cast in what show, and once they're cast what play will be called on what days and what times.

Our next rehearsal will be the monday we get back from spring break, check here for exact times and calls.

I'm so proud of all of you! Thanks you! And have a great spring break :)
